ONYX Hospitality Group, a mid-sized Southeast Asian rcs data myanmar hospitality company under Italthai Group with businesses spanning hotels, resorts, serviced apartments and luxury residences under the Amari, OZO, Shama and Oriental Residence brands, had to adapt its business strategy to market conditions.
Yuthachai Charanajit, Chief Executive Officer of Onyx Hospitality Group, said that in 2025, the hotel business will face more challenges due to the changing tourism market and the fact that the main tourists from China have reduced spending and are not like before! Therefore, the business must adjust its strategy to be in line with the market and demand, both in terms of business expansion in Thailand and abroad, focusing on high-potential locations.
For the Thai market, we have joined forces with our partner Hotel Equatorial Kuala Lumpur to invest over 2,500 million baht to develop a hotel in the Kata area, "EQ Phuket", in the form of a partner as a manager. This is considered a new business model. The hotel has 180 rooms and will start construction in the third quarter and be completed in 2027.
